Paint Extension Pole Guide

You want to keep paint roller evenly distributed with paint for maximum delivery. If you are using an extension rod, less paint helps the pole become less top-heavy. Proper procedure simplifies painting. You'll get less drips and better results if you fill the paint roller lightly. Dry rolling can create patchiness and leave an unequal finish.

Start your paint job from the lowest point on the surface and work towards the roof. This approach makes it simpler to use the extension pole and allows minimum length changes. Using an extension provides you with versatility for painting with different extension options.

Merely holding the pole correctly will streamline your paint job. Grab the center extension when carrying a fully extended pole. Grasp it close to the final section where the midsection portion connects to the lower part of the pole. This control grip allows improved delivery and places less force on the upper extensions. When raising and lowering the extension pole, use both of your hands for steady control.

Be sure not to push too much while you are loading the roller with paint. Guide the roller carefully allowing it to do the majority of the work for you.

During the paint loading procedure with an extension pole, grasp the last portion near the roller and the midsection as near to the base section that you can reach. This technique lets you manifest extension support during the paint loading process.

Hold the pole vertical with max extension until you transfer it to your painting area. Grip the middle and lower pole as near to the top of each section as you can. Carefully lean the pole close to the surface to begin painting once you're standing close to the wall.

When the roller makes connection with the wall, you may adjust your grip and step back from the wall to start painting comfortably. While you are painting, hold the extension in the center and bottom for optimum control. Incorrectly using the extension may cause the pole to get too bottom or top-heavy and may lead to an uneven finish.

Tightening and loosening the chuck or the collet locking mechanism is straightforward. Conveniently hold the pole beneath the collet and lock or unlock the extension segment you want to slide. Adjust the chuck till the sliding pole stops moving. After you tighten the chuck, try to slide the pole even further to ascertain if it stays in place. Over-tightening the chuck can cause pole deterioration. Use caution when you are adjusting.

Ensure that the poles are free from paint or product that can amass in the slide. If any paint does get onto the pole, wash it off before it dries and hardens. Use a wet rag for latex paint clean up or a thinner rag nearby for oil-based products. Ensure the chuck and pole and collet are dry from thinner and water before modifying. For convenient storage, collapse the extension to its smallest size. Unite your extension pole with a standard length paint handle roller for maximum results. Do not use a long-handled roller because this will be too tricky.

Your extension pole purchase will come in very handy for several projects. You can use it for decades and other projects. It is the only way to access ceilings and vaulted surfaces effectively It's going to last for many years if you take proper care with cleaning and storing following use. The telescoping extension means you can avoid having to rely on a ladder to paint high places. It's an excellent painting tool that will save you time and energy.

Get innovative with your extension pole and employ it for dusting hard-to-reach locations including ceiling fans, window frames and ledges and crown molding! Have your painting extension positioned in an easy-to-locate place for the best access to handle all of your cleaning and painting concerns.
